Education Calendar -2017

This is a reminder that the Education Calendar is about to kick into full swing for 2017 and getting your coaches and match officials upskilled is an integral part in developing your players throughout your club.

The Courses that are being delivered in 2017:

Emerging Coach Program:

This program has begun for the 2017 season with 11 Coaches taking part in the 6 month intensive coaching program targeted at developing the individual coach while allowing them access to Western Force resources and coaching staff. This is allowing the coaches to receive immediate feedback from staff as well as have the opportunity to get sessions recorded for review purposes. This development will culminate with the individuals being put through the World Rugby Level 3 Course later in the year.

Developing Coach Course (Level 2 Coach):

This being the progression from the Level 1 Coach Accreditation and being targeted at coaches either entering at the U/18’s level or coaching senior Rugby in Australia. This course is a 2.5 day course that will concentrate on developing the coach on best practice on how to coach. The beauty about this course is that the on field coaching assessment will be conducted on course in a practical manner throughout the 2.5 days. This on course structure will incorporate an online component through LMS.

If an individual is wanting to attend this course they can register through the LMS System: https://rugby.force.com/rugbyportal

If the club wants to put any individuals through the course if they can contact graham.cooper@westernforce.com.au to provide TOKENS for the registration process. This will allow the individual when registering to bypass the payment process. The club will then get invoiced for the cost of the program.

Foundation Course- Progression to Level 1: Coach and Match Official

This course designed for the entry level coaches and match officials wanting to be involved at an U/12s- 17s Level. This course is a 6 hour course and will be conducted in two ways in 2017. The course will be delivered over 2 weeknights or on a Sunday. The reason for the different course structures is to allow coaches to choose how they want the course delivered. Giving them flexibility as we know during rugby season the weekend is full of rugby and to give up a Sunday sometimes is difficult.

If an individual is wanting to attend this course they can register through the LMS System: https://rugby.force.com/rugbyportal

If the club wants to put any individuals through the course please contact graham.cooper@westernforce.com.au to provide TOKENS for the registration process. This will allow the individual when registering to bypass the payment process. The club will then get invoiced for the cost of the program.

Coaching Kids Rugby and AR Courses:

These courses will be run throughout the season in conjunction with each other. They will be run in all regions to allow maximum exposure to clubs. The courses that have been advertised are centrally located but RugbyWA will be happy to run individually run courses at your club. The AR Course in 2017 will be fully subsidised by RugbyWA to encourage all clubs to have accredited AR’s. The individual will be required to register online so the accreditation process can be as seamless as possible and no one gets missed. The club can contact graham.cooper@westernforce.com.au to organise TOKENS for registration for the registration process.

If a club would like to hold their own course please contact Graham Cooper on graham.cooper@westernforce.com.au to organise this.
